Local charity to Balinese people
The economy of Bali, Indonesia is for at least 80% depended on tourism.
Since the covid crises started, many people are struggling here to make a living, for tourism has grinded to a stand still.
With no government support many are on the brink of bankruptcy.
After we heard about some Balinese friends not having money to buy food for several days in a row in October 2020, and subsequently not having eaten, we started giving away weekly food packages.
Right now the number of people receiving these packages are close to 80.
Our main focus is on old and sick people who can not work and have no family to support them.
After having paid for this for over 6 months ourselves, we have send out an appeal to family and friends for help and donations; we are currently blessed with regular and irregular donations. This has enabled us to also give out some cheap local medicines for the ill people, who are especially now not able to obtain these.
Still; about 50% of all the proceeds from our work must still go towards helping people in need.
If you feel called to help the poor in Bali, please donate.
We are private people, not an official NGO, we have no office etc. , all donations go directly towards buying food and medicine for the people who need it.
