Introduction
About Shamanism
Shamanism is the oldest and most authentic path of spiritual development known to humanity. It is the origin of most world religions.
For thousands of years, Shamans have acted as Healers and Seers for the society in which they lived. Having been chosen by the Spirits/ancestors, a Shaman is instructed in their knowledge and wisdom and uses these for all people in need of help and guidance.
As such there is no particular or specified Shamanic way: every Shaman has his/her own approach, taught by the Spirits and learned through many years of experience.
What we learn from the Shaman are techniques to come into contact with other realities: the real instruction has to come from there, not from a book or method.
What is characteristic of the work of the Shaman is the access to other realities. A Shaman establishes contact with other realities to find solutions to problems, to Heal and to get inspiration – always for the benefit of others.
These other realities are closely linked to our everyday reality; everything that manifests itself in our world has its origin in other, finer layers of consciousness. That is why having access to these layers is a great advantage for solving difficulties and for your personal development.
What we can learn from the Shaman are ways to come into contact with these other realities: the real instruction has to come from there, not from a book or method.
